Two other Musafirs came to Kipini to help build the boat and to document the project.

Adapting their habits to work with the local people and living surrounded by poverty did not make things easy in the beginning.

During this time, a fair amount of material was gathered and that secured several weeks of things to work with.

The new arrivals also had to face a method which, although traditional, left a strong emotional impact on them. Around Kipini area there are no factories or controlled chain stores to buy the wood from. Each timber has to be obtained from a tree which was chosen specifically for its size in order to obtain the greatest number of semi-finished timbers from it.

For several days the arrivals focused on the selection and purchasing of trees to be cut and transported to the boat yard.

For them, this process created a greater commitment to the realization of the boat.
